Privacy Policy

1. What we collect
When you use Wandr we collect: your email address if you sign in; the trip prompts you type; the itineraries we generate for you; and anonymous click events (including optional session and UTM data) when you follow a booking link. We do not collect payment card details — those are handled directly by Stripe.
2. How we use it
We use your data to generate and store your itineraries, send you a copy by email if you request one, measure affiliate performance, and improve the quality of future trip plans. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
3. Public trips
On the free plan and as a guest, the trips you create are public: anyone with the link can see them, and they can appear in search engines such as Google and Bing. The destination guides we write from trips are public on every plan. A public trip page never shows your request text, names, children's ages, your home airport or city, or your exact travel dates; we show the travel month only.
With Wandr Pro you can make any trip saved to your account private: it is removed from search, our sitemap, search results and destination pages, and only you can open it. If your Pro membership ends, trips you already made private stay private. Private trips are still stored on our servers and can be accessed by Wandr administrators for support and security, as described in this policy.
To have a public trip removed, email privacy@wandr.travel with the trip link ("Remove my trip").
4. Affiliate links & third-party partners
Wandr earns commission when you book through links to our partners (Booking.com, Aviasales, Trivago, Expedia, Viator, Welcome Pickups, Airbnb, GetYourGuide and others). Clicking a partner link transfers you to that partner's site, which has its own privacy policy. We pass only the minimum data required to attribute the referral.
5. Advertising
Free users may see discreet sponsored placements. These do not rely on the sale of personal data. Wandr Pro is ad-free. Any future ad partners will be subject to the same data-minimisation principles.
6. Cookies & storage
We use browser local storage to remember your current itinerary, your sign-in session and your privacy choice between page loads. This essential storage is always on. Clicks on partner links are counted by Wandr itself without cookies, using a hashed IP address that rotates daily. Third-party advertising cookies are off by default: a partner ad network (Google AdSense or Ezoic, one per page) can only load if you choose "Accept all" (or switch Advertising on) in the cookie banner, and never for Pro members. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland that network's certified consent tool (Google Privacy & messaging or Ezoic's consent manager) then records your detailed choices before any ad loads. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.
7. Data retention
Anonymous itineraries are kept for 90 days. Itineraries linked to your account are kept until you delete your account. You can request deletion at any time by emailing privacy@wandr.travel.
8. Newsletter & marketing emails
Free members join the Wandr Travel Dispatch newsletter when they create an account. Wandr Pro members receive our editorial dispatches for the length of their annual membership; when the term ends or is cancelled, the account moves to the free newsletter list. Members can unsubscribe at any time — during or after a membership — in one click from their Profile or Dashboard, or via the link in any email. Unsubscribing takes effect immediately and never affects your account, trips or search access. We never sell, rent or share our subscriber list.
9. Your rights (GDPR)
If you are based in the EU or UK you may withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it (Art. 7(3)); object to direct marketing (Art. 21); and access, correct, export or erase your personal data (Arts. 15–20). You may also complain to your data protection authority (in Greece, the Hellenic Data Protection Authority). Contact us at privacy@wandr.travel and we will respond within 30 days.
